Job Description:

As the Program Director for DeenTV Camps, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Muslim creatives in the film and music industries. Your leadership will ensure the successful planning, development, and execution of camp programs that inspire, educate, and prepare attendees for creative careers. This role requires a balance of educational program design, operational management, and community engagement to create an enriching and inclusive learning environment. This is a hybrid role, combining on-site leadership at the DeenTV Studio (twice a week) with the flexibility of remote work, offering a dynamic work environment tailored for effective program management and creative collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Program Development: Design comprehensive camp curriculums that cover essential technical skills in film and music production, storytelling, editing, and more. Incorporate Islamic values and perspectives to foster a nurturing environment for Muslim talent.
Leadership and Team Management: Recruit, train, and oversee camp instructors and staff to ensure high-quality program delivery. Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture aligned with DeenTV’s mission.
Operations and Logistics: Manage camp operations, including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and logistics. Ensure a smooth, safe, and engaging experience for all participants.
Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, educational institutions, and industry professionals to enhance the camp’s visibility and impact. Engage with families and prospective campers through outreach and informational sessions.
Evaluation and Improvement: Implement feedback mechanisms to assess program effectiveness and participant satisfaction. Continuously refine and expand camp offerings based on insights gathered.
Fundraising and Sponsorship: Collaborate with the DeenTV fundraising team to secure sponsorships and grants that support camp operations and scholarships for participants.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Film, Music, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degrees preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program management, preferably in an educational or creative setting.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams.
Strong knowledge of film and/or music production, including technical and creative processes.
Excellent organizational, budget management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a variety of audiences.

Job Title: Content Developer (part time)
Location: Hybrid (Herndon, Virginia)

DeenTV is seeking a highly motivated and creative digital video producer to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. As a digital video producer, you will play a key role in help producing music videos, films, documentaries, and social content for the Muslim community and the community at large. We are looking for an individual who can help us bring our vision to life and take it to the next level, even while working remotely.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute video projects
Write, direct, shoot and edit videos, including music videos, films, documentaries, and social content
Create and edit compelling visual content, including video trailers, teasers, and promotional material
Utilize a range of software, including Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere, to edit and enhance video footage
Ensure all videos are delivered on time and to a high standard
Work with the team to develop and execute new ideas and concepts
Stay up-to-date with the latest video production trends and techniques

Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in video production, with a focus on music videos, films, documentaries, and social content
Proficiency in using Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere
Excellent storytelling skills and an eye for visual composition
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
A strong understanding of the Muslim community and its culture
A portfolio of relevant work demonstrating your skills and creativity
Reliable access to a computer and internet connection

This is a part-time, remote position with flexible working hours (per project basis). The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a passion for video production and a desire to make a difference in the Muslim community, even while working remotely.
