El-Salvador Trip – Part One (San Salvador)
Watch part one of our El Salvador adventure! In this episode, we take you on a journey through the heart of San Salvador and its surrounding beauty. Our day starts in the bustling San Benito area, wandering through the historic Casa Presidencial and a local hospital. We fuel up with a delightful breakfast at Juan Valdez Cafe before immersing ourselves in the rich history at the Guzman National Museum, where we explore El Salvador’s archaeological treasures. Our exploration continues with a visit to the Presidente Plaza Mall and a delicious seafood lunch at Tahiti. We wander around the city, discovering the Museum of Art (open only on weekends) and the vibrant National Craft Market.
The adventure doesn’t stop there! We walk to Plaza Salvador del Mundo, enjoying a traditional pupusa and coffee, and pick up a Claro SIM card. At La Forma Modern Art Museum, we get a unique chance to hold an archaeological whistle and meet the artist behind it. An Uber ride takes us through the bustling Central Market for lunch, followed by enriching tours of the Cathedral, National Theater, and National Palace. We unwind with a relaxing library tour and enjoy breathtaking views of the city. The next morning, we head to the serene Tunco and Sunzal beaches at 10 am, reveling in the warm waters and a seaside seafood lunch. Our exploration of the local town includes a refreshing coconut drink, and we end the day with a delightful dinner featuring paella at a nearby restaurant. Our journey in El Salvador concludes with a peaceful visit to the Botanic Garden.
