Jannah. The gardens beneath which rivers flow. Where we will recline on soft couches without a worry ever again. Where we will be with those that we love and see the Prophet (SAW) up close and in person. We dream about it, we pine and hope for it, pray for it and in this life we do what we can to work to earn our ticket in.
Jannah (or Paradise) is the ultimate destination for all of mankind where all our sorrows will be no more, and in this latest release from the young talented Nasheed artist Muad, he brilliantly makes the pleas we all want through this song.
Background
“Jannah” is a song from the debut album entitled “Home” of UK based nasheed artist Muad. This talented brother is young but is already gaining a large following worldwide through his past works with Brimero Entertainment where Muad penned and performed stories through acting and song.
Muad’s soulful, poetic vocals have put him in high demand, Mash’Allah and he is continuing to churn out some really good stuff, so much so that legendary artist Zain Bhika took notice and wanted to work with him.
The song “Jannah” is one of 17 gems from the album and one of his most popular tracks. The original song is made even more popular in this collaboration with longtime Nasheed mainstay Zain Bhikha.
Muad had this to say of being able to remix his hit song with Zain: “I bring to you a collaboration song with the legend, Zain Bhikha, who made one of my most popular songs on my album light up. Mashallah…I want to thank Zain Bhikha personally for allowing me the opportunity to sing with him. It was an honor and a pleasure dear brother.”
About The Video
Muad definitely has the talent to hold his own, but when paired with Zain Bhikha, you could say that their pairing was a match made in Jannah (pun intended)!
The video shows Muad out in nature, admiring Allah’s creation while singing about the even better and more beautiful destination of Paradise.
Muad’s vocals, unblemished by autotune or musical instruments in this voice-only rendition, are on point and its not hard to see why he is gaining such a huge following because his talent is undeniable. His voice paints an amazing picture of what is in store for the believers in the next life–the mentioning of the Prophet (SAW) waiting at the gates is soul-stirring.
The catchy hook of “I pray for Jannah, Jannah, Jannah…” is one that compels the listener to repeat after Muad.
When the song transitions to Zain Bhika’s verse, you can’t help but smile at his presence on the track. Standing in a meadow, Zain also paints a great scenario through his lyrics of seeing the Prophet (S) in paradise and drinking from his hands. The portion where he croons of holding his mother once again in his arms is emotional and will certainly well you up with tears.
Final Verdict
Muad’s album version of Jannah where he sings solo is really good, but this collaboration with the great Zain Bhikah is a can’t-miss combo. Give it a listen and add it to your Nasheed playlist. We are sure this is a track you’ll want to put on repeat.
